March 17 is the day when everyone in the world wants to be Irish. Failte Ireland have produced a wonderful little video showing all that is great in this little country of ours. It highlights Ireland’s strengths, and highlights the qualities that makes this little part of the world one of the best places to be.
The weather is glorious at the moment, so on Saturday John, myself and Arthur decided to take ourselves out to Howth for the day. We were feeling energetic so figured we’d take the cliff loop walk which is a 7 kilometre walk over the cliff top and around Howth Head. The walk takes you along the rugged coastline and although it’s a bit of a hike, has spectacular views of the coastline and out to sea towards Irelands Eye and Lambay Island.
This weeks photo is an spectacular photo of Dublin….. taken from Space! Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield aboard the ISS regularly treats us to some stunning photographs of Mother Earth. And lucky for us, Ireland seems to be one of his favourite clicks.
45,000 incredible supporters followed Ireland to Poland for the 2012 Euro’s and they were a credit to their nation. They travelled by planes, trains, and camper van and they transformed the Polish city of Poznan into a sea of green.
