Shabby Chic is a term used to describe a style where aged and distressed elements are used to create a rustic, yet soft romantic look.
Typical elements would include painted floors, distressed furniture, crystal, pastel tones, florals, linens, lace and vintage finds. Think French opulence meets English country cottage.

I’m not sure you’d get away with this style if your other half is a big manly man! This romantic bedroom from House to Home with it’s pink floral, soft pastels and layers of cushions and throws is unashamedly feminine.

Gorgeous pics. Shabby chic style is so warm and welcoming always adding character and charm to a room. I love white rooms, but sometimes the need for a little colour is necessary and pastels are perfect as they are non intrusive and subtle, adding just enough depth to brighten up a space.

Love shabby chic style. All of the rooms are charming and look really comfortable. I agree with chichi furniture, a splash of color can make all the difference…
