Renovation Project – Update 1

You may remember I posted an article recently on a renovation project I’m working on in Dublin.  Works are coming along nicely so I thought I would post some photo’s showing you the progress to date.

Construction work on the extension is almost complete.  The electrics are in, walls are plastered and the floors are being prepped for tiling.

Upstairs the bathroom is also taking shape.

This was the original bathroom.  The bath has been replaced with a large walk in shower.  The walls and floor have been tiled and the sanitary-ware replaced with a more contemporary suite.

Downstairs in the living area, the bricked up fireplace has been opened up and is awaiting the arrival of our wood burning stove. We have also fitted a black slate vertical radiator into the alcove making great use of this small space.

We have lift off.  The stove is installed and a fire lit to ensure everything is as it should be.

The next stage of the progress is installation of the kitchen and internal doors.  I will post an update as work progresses.  Also, you can click here to subscribe and follow this project.
