I’m pretty much on tract at this stage. As many of you know we are living with my mum at the moment so it’s nice getting a different home to decorate. Luckily mum is as crazy about Christmas as I am so together we’re well on the way to creating a Christmas wonderland.

Adding interest to a narrow hall often creates difficulties as there is not a lot of floor space and quite often little or no natural light. Also as it’s a high traffic area it must also practical and durable.
So how do you turn a boring hall into a welcoming inviting and practical space?
Traditionally black and orange is the colour of Halloween. Orange being the prevalent autumn tone, derived from the colours of the landscape, fallen leaves and of course pumpkins. It is also a colour which signifies strength and endurance.
Black depicts the colour of death and witches hats, cauldrons and black cats all signify the feast of All Hallows. And of course the blackness of the night cloaks the misdeeds and mayhem that may ensue later tonight!
