Alice in Wonderland or just Mad Hatters

This is the rather strange apartment of New York artist, Meghan Broody.

The unique space, described by the New York Magazine as a “seven-room fantasy lair that is equal parts Alice in Wonderland and Being John Malkovich

Boasting fifteen foot ceilings, exposed beams and hidden rooms, the apartment is furnished with a mix of antiques, flea market finds, and a sex-toy inspired glass sculpture! But it’s the piece in the living room featuring a life size silicone child and live mice that’s a bit too disturbing for my tastes.

  1. I like it. I like the weird and wackiness of it all. That said, would I live there…No! The girl in the glass is macabre and upsetting, but I think that’s the point right!

  2. I agree Lizzie, it's the shock value that makes it **art**. And as you say, weird and wacky is one thing, but living there….. definitely not for me! 🙂
