A Place to Relax

My friend quite literally gets lost in a book.

It doesn’t matter where she is; she zones out and is completely enthralled in whatever it is she’s reading.  She almost missed a flight home from Paris once because she was so caught up her in book, she didn’t hear her flight announcement.

I was never one of those people. I’m more inclined to read an article online or just flick through a magazine than sit down with a book.  And of course I’m always rushing somewhere so I never take the time to just chill out and relax.

But I wonder if I’d find the time if I had a little area like one of these to curl up in.

How about you?  Have you a little corner in your home where you get away from the world?

  1. Love the nooks under the stairs and in the alcoves, they were my favourites until I saw the 'pod' type hanging chair – oooh. I love curling up with a book and the problem is, if it is really good, I can't put it down until I've finished it which leads to neglected work, neglected children, neglected house, therefore, I have to limit myself to one or two books a month – luckily I read very quickly!

    Fab images Karen.

  2. Isn't the bubble chair just fantastic. I may have to invest in one! Even have a space where it would fit nicely 🙂
